Our Mission:
To be a voice for Grand Families and
Kinship Caregivers everywhere.
To be a voice for Grand Families and
Kinship Caregivers everywhere.
Craig Nash started "It's A Grand Life" in January 2023 to share his journey with others in order to assist them with navigating Kinship Care.
He is deeply committed to helping people and considers himself a "bridge-builder." Craig has spent the past 40 years helping people in the healthcare industry and now as a Grand Family caregiver himself.
In 2023, Craig and his wife took on the role of primary caregivers to their granddaughter Ella. This journey opened their eyes to the lack of services and supports available to Grand Families around the country.
Craig's extensive background in various healthcare roles, including physical therapy and home health services has equipped him with a wealth of knowledge and experience.
Retirement hasn't slowed him down. He remains an active member of the healthcare community, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to helping others. His passion for advocacy led him to join Generation United's GRAND Voices network, hoping to use his experiences to support Grand Family caregivers nationwide.
When children cannot be raised by their parents, research indicates they do best being raised by grandparents, other relatives or close family friends.
These families are known as Grand Families.
More than 2.3 million grandparents in the United States are householders responsible for grand children living with them.
Launched in June 2024, The Grand Fund supports the mission of "It's a Grand Life!" by providing financial assistance to Grand Families and Kinship Caregivers.
Donations raised by The Grand Fund will initially be used to support shelter, food, clothing and educational needs of Grand Families and Kinship Caregivers. Currently The Grand Fund is supporting families in Michigan with plans for expansion into additional states across the country.
The Grand Fund is a 501c3.
